The holidays tend to inevitably come with a bit of stress, but I just wrapped up one of the best Christmases yet. I count myself lucky to have been able to spend the whole week with my sweet boyfriend, both sides of his family, and both sides of my family. We were all able to laugh (and eat..) until it hurt, reminisce on times passed, exchange a few gifts, and, most importantly, enjoy each other’s company under one (or in our case, four) roof(s) and celebrate the sweet baby Jesus.
As 2015 nears an end, I am reminded of how much I have grown in one (very) short (and yet incredibly long) year. Good things, okay things, great things, and not so great things happened. Good or bad, these things have humbled me, motivated me, pushed me down to my knees, inspired me, stimulated me, made me sad, made me mad, made me happy, and made me strong.
With 2016 fast approaching, I am both excited and thankful (and a teeny bit nervous). My roommate and I make the move into an adorable new house, my company moves into our shnazzy new office, and work is about to really take off, all in January. Many would say this is the perfect time to start fresh but I don’t want a clean slate. I want to put some shine on my slate and get started on the next coat.
